ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – The University of Alaska Anchorage athletics department announced today that, effective immediately, all Alaska residents who have been furloughed as a result of the federal government shutdown can receive up to four (4) complimentary tickets to any regular season Seawolves home event throughout the duration of the shutdown.

"This is an easy decision," stated Greg Myford, UAA Director of Athletics. "Until the current impasse is resolved, the impact on members of our campus, the Anchorage community and many others across our state will continue to be felt. This is a small way for UAA to provide some relief and a few hours of fun to those hit hardest by the situation."

Furloughed employees will simply need to show their federal government-issued ID at the Alaska Airlines Center Terry Ann Homan Box Office or the Sullivan Arena Box Office. The complimentary ticket offer will be honored on game day only -- no advance or online distribution of tickets will be available. General Admission tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis for all events. Previously purchased tickets cannot be exchanged as part of this offer. The offer will be valid until the shutdown ceases.
