With Veterans Day coming up on Saturday, November 11, we always hear about "FREE" this and "FREE" that offered to vets on Veterans Day. Like free haircuts and free meals! Does this include Alaska? Some offers apply and some do not.

So there are no surprises best to always call first as some offers are on Veterans Day or the Friday before or Monday after. Offers may include active and retired military personnel and some have specific restrictions. Be sure to have proof of service with you - DD form 214 or the Vet flag you can add to your drivers license or state ID to prove Veteran Status. Again, best to call before you go. With that said, this is awesome! Listed below are businesses we called to confirm Veterans Day offers in Anchorage, Alaska. Please note you'd still need to cover gratuity.

Great Clips 907-929-2547 (Old Seward) Free haircuts at Great Clips! On Veterans Day, customers who come in for a haircut at any U.S. Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut card to give to an active/inactive/retired military member of any branch, including the National Guard. Veterans can also visit any U.S. Great Clips salon on November 11 to get either a free haircut that day or to pick up a free haircut card to use later. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31.

Golden Corral 907-563-9000 Free Golden Corral buffet on Monday 11/13/17, Military Appreciation Night from 4pm - 9pm offered to military retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard, and Reserves.
