GIRL’S LOST STUFFED ANIMAL RETURNED 14 YEARS LATER

Back in 2005, four-year-old Emily Baur of Charles City, Virginia, lost her favorite toy -- a stuffed cat named Plurna.

Emily sobbed for weeks as the family looked everywhere, digging up a sandbox and even searching under an old farmhouse.

No luck. Plurna was gone … until now.

Amazingly, some family members didn’t give up the search. They heard stories of Emily’s heartbreak and kept poking around, hoping Plurna would show up.

Plurna finally did show up when a worker building a fence on the property spotted her behind the house, covered in dirt and vines.

Emily was so shocked to see Plurna that she couldn’t speak.

But once reality set in, Emily gently washed the cat, which Emily said was in “surprisingly good shape.” (Washington Post)
