Forever 21 Apologizes After Diet Bars Were Found In Plus-Size Orders
Forever 21 customers were furious when they found that their online plus-size orders came with an Akins diet bar.
One shopper tweeted, “Thanks @Forever21 I have received my order of 5 items from the plus section.....oh and this #atkins bar that slipped in there. I don't take kindly to people telling me how to live my life. Oh, and when you were packing the diet bar, you forgot to put my actual invoice!!!”
Another called Forever 21’s, “special promotion” “wildly dangerous.”
In a statement from Forever 21 they said, “The freebie items in question were included in all online orders, across all sizes and categories, for a limited time and have since been removed. This was an oversight on our part and we sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused to our customers, as this was not our intention in any way.”
Lifetime Making Movie About College Admissions Scandal
If you aren’t filled in on the college admissions scandal, Lifetime has your back. The network has announced plans to release a two-hour dramatic film about the scandal, tentatively given the straight-forward title “College Admissions Scandal.”
Viewers can expect a film focusing “on the story that captivated a nation where over 50 privileged and elite individuals from across the country were exposed for criminally conspiring to influence the undergraduate admissions decisions at some of America’s top schools.” So far, there’s no word on the premiere date or who will star.
As you may recall, Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman have both been charged in the case. This Lifetime film will also focus on “two wealthy mothers” involved in the scandal, and eventually “must face the consequences.”
Bindi Irwin Gets Engaged On 21st Birthday
Conservationist Bindi Irwin is getting married.
She and her longtime boyfriend Chandler Powell are engaged. Bonus - it happened on her birthday.
Irwin shared the news on Wednesday with pictures of the proposal. She said, "On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life. Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you & every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure & true happiness.”
Teenager Breaks Michael Phelps' 200M Butterfly Record
Move over, Michael Phelps. The Olympic legend just saw one of his world records broken by a Hungarian teenager.
On Wednesday, 19-year-old Kristof Milak set a new record time in the 200-meter butterfly, finishing the race in 1:50.73 at the World Swimming Championships.
Milak, the 2018 European champion, beat Phelps' 2009 record by .78 seconds and was more than three seconds ahead of the rest of the field. He'll compete in the 100-meter butterfly on Friday.
Ariana Grande Cuts Ties With Celeb Photographer
Ariana Grande has severed ties with celebrity photographer Marcus Hyde after accusations came out about him asking a model for nude pictures in exchange for a free photoshoot surfaced.
She voiced her position on the issue via Instagram Stories saying, "Please don't shoot with photographers who make you feel uncomfortable or make you feel like you need to take your clothing off if you don't want to. I hate hearing about things like this."
The accusation against Hyde came from Instagram model Sunnaya, who shared an Instagram DM of the proposition allegedly sent by Hyde.
Hyde is a well-known celebrity photographer that has worked with Grande, Kim Kardashian, and other high profile celebrities.
