Foo Fighters' world tour is over, but that hasn't stopped Dave Grohl from grabbing youngsters out of the audience to accompany him.
It happened at the Notes and Words charity event at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California on Saturday, when Papa Grohl called his 12-year-old daughter, Violet, on stage to sing her favorite song, Adele's "When We Were Young." Dave accompanied her on guitar and the crowd went wild over Violet's vocals on the emotional ballad. You can find fan-shot video of it on both YouTube and Instagram.
The cameo came seven songs into a set of Dave's solo acoustic performances of such Foo Fighters hits as "Everlong," "Times Like These" and "Best of You." Violet was joined on the next song by her nine-year-old sister Harper, who added backing vocals while Dave sang his band's current single, "The Sky Is a Neighborhood." Harper then played drums as Violet sang lead on the finale, a cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You."
The show raised money for University of California San Francisco's Benioff Hospital.
