Here's How You Can Name A Cockroach After Your Ex For Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and for some people, they dread the day whether it be thinking about an ex or just the fact that they're single. For those who are thinking about their ex, first off - STOP - lol but listen to this...the San Antonio Zoo is letting people name cockroaches after their exes😂

Now the reason for this is to actually help raise funds to support the zoo's "vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world." With a $5-$25 donation, people can name a roach after their ex and they will get a digital Valentine's Day card that will also be sent to the ex to let them know they have a roach named after them. If you want to name something else after your ex, the zoo is also letting donors to symbolically name a rodent or veggie after their ex. This is hilarious! See below what other zoos are doing letting you do to get over your ex:

  • Bronx Zoo - "name a roach" program where people can also send their ex a tote bag or tumbler with a photo of a cockroach to let them know that they named it after them
  • El Paso Zoo - lets you feed the roach you named after your ex, to be used as food for the animals at the zoo...SAVAGE😭
  • Lehigh Valley Zoo - with a $5 donation, people can name a feeder cricket after their ex and the zoo will post weekly videos of the crickets being fed to animals
  • Toronto Zoo - adopt a roach named after your ex or if you're in love you can adopt a penguin couple for your loved one

The zoos aren't the only places taking part in the ex savagery. The Houston Museum of Natural Science also lets you name a roach after your ex and then the Florida Aquarium has some downloadable roach-themed V-Day cards. For more, click here.
