Mike Seidel has been an on-camera meteorologist for the Weather Channel for over 25 years but for the first time is receiving a lot of criticism for his latest stand-up report covering Hurricane Florence in Wilmington, North Carolina.
During an on-camera report this past weekend he was seen staggering from foot to foot against gusting winds as he explained, “This is about as nasty as it’s been."
The thing making viewers a little confused is the fact that he could barely stand against the wind but two pedestrians casually stroll behind him in a shot walking perfectly fine as if there were no bad conditions at all.
Without skipping a beat the Weather Channel immediately stood up for their meteorologist on social media saying, “It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted."
