Billy Joel knows a thing or two about songwriting - and he's convinced that Taylor Swift belongs in some pretty elite company.
The Piano Man told USA Today that Swift was "like that generation's Beatles", adding "She knows music".
The 72-year-old also had high praise for Adele, calling her "a Streisand throwback".
Joel will return to Madison Square Garden on Friday to resume his monthly residency, and has a new box set, The Vinyl Collection Vol. 1, out this week.
AMC Entering the Popcorn Business
AMC is broadening its portfolio beyond the movie theaters and getting into popcorn.
Starting next year, AMC Theatres Perfectly Popcorn will be sold at malls and kiosks across the country.
The company will also make it possible for movie popcorn lovers to have the snack delivered to their homes as well as having popcorn "To Go" packages that can be picked up or ordered as takeout.
Microwave-ready popcorn will be sold in grocery stores a little later next year too.

After the series garnered 100 million views in its first month, the streaming platform added three films from creator Hwang Dong-hyuk.
The films are a crime drama titled Silenced, a comedy-drama titled Miss Granny, and a historical piece titled The Fortress.

Even though it hasn't been officially announced yet, Captain America star Chris Evans will reportedly have a new title to add to his resume.
According to Page Six, the 40-year-old actor has been picked as People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' for 2021.
Last year, actor Michael B. Jordan was awarded the title.
The official unveiling of Evans as the 'Sexiest Man Alive' is expected next week.
Evans' latest project is as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in Pixar's upcoming Toy Story spinoff.
Ariana Grande Was Mortified When Jimmy Fallon Aired a Clip of Her First Gigi
Ariana Grande was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The singer discussed her new acting roles, Grande will soon star as Gilda on Broadway’s “Wicked.”
After Grande and Fallon discussed her new role, the talk show host shared a clip Grande’s mother sent in of her singing the National Anthem at a Florida Panthers hockey game at only 8-years-old.
Grande had a look of horror and seemed embarrassed by the clip. Thankfully the singer is all grown up and now is coaching singers on The Voice.
