Sheriff Reminds Residents That You Can't Drive Around With 450lbs Of Weed

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb reminded the public in Arizona yesterday that it is illegal to possess more than one ounce of marijuana despite the passing of Prop 207. This reminder came after deputies arrested a man with more than 450 pounds of marijuana in his car.

According to Pinal County Sheriff's Office, 21 bundles of marijuana were seized after a vehicle was pulled over for a speeding violation. The drugs, which were located inside the car, weighed 451.5 pounds. Officials say the driver, who was identified as Jesus Carmelo Juarez, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and transportation of marijuana.

"Dude, you can't have THAT much weed," Lamb said in reference to the arrest. Juarez was booked into Pinal County Jail in connection to the case.
