Valentina Sampaio Becomes Sports Illustrated's First Transgender Swimsuit Model

Valentia Sampaio has broken through a new barrier.

She has become the first transgender swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated. 

Sampaio told People, "I was filled with so many emotions of happiness when I heard the news. The feeling was surreal. Being in SI Swim has always been on my bucket list of things to achieve in my career. It’s a dream come true on so many levels. 

She continued, "SI has been a deeply meaningful achievement. To come from a space of fear and marginalization, to now being included in one of the most iconic magazines that truly embraces and celebrates diversity — it is life-changing." 

'Jurassic World: Dominion' Not On Hold Despite Rumors

Perhaps Jurassic World: Dominion will hit the big screen next June after all.

According to Universal, anything you heard previously about several crew members testing positive for coronavirus and shooting being shut down is "categorically untrue".

Reports from across the pond, where the franchise's sixth installment is currently in pre-production, said Friday that the pause came just days after they resumed their fourth week of twenty on July 6th.

Last month, Variety revealed that the studio pumped $5 million into the budget for preventative measures against COVID-19.

HBO Max Making 'Batman' Series About Gotham PD

HBO Max is developing a new Batman series centered around the Gotham City Police Department.

The show will be a spinoff of the upcoming reboot movie The Batman, which is due in theaters sometime next year. Director Matt Reeves will be one of the show's creators.

The show is believed to be part of an expanded Batman universe across multiple platforms.

Netflix's "Happier Hour" Features Celebrity Surprises

Netflix is launching a new social series called Happier Hour.

In the preview clip, we see some Netflix stars like Issa Rae, Hasan Minhaj, Lisa Kudrow video calling each other to chat about how things are going in these times.

The celebrities then call superfans for conversations and surprises.

Anyone can watch Happier Hour without a Netflix subscription. New episodes arrive on YouTube every Thursday.
