WEIRD NEWS: Kid Wins Cannabis Prize at Hockey Raffle

An eight-year-old Canadian boy had the biggest score at a hockey tournament in British Columbia, and it didn't even involve a goal. He scored $200 worth of drugs in a raffle drawing.

The tournament included a fundraising raffle drawing of various donated items. The boy's father handed him some raffle tickets and told him to put them in the items he wanted to win. The items typically include things like movie tickets, gift cards and board games. But the boy saw a basket of chocolates and wanted to win it...and he did.

But when the excited boy ran over to his father with his prize, he got some bad news. His dad took a closer look and realized that the basket was actually filled with cannabis products, including edibles and a pipe. The father was shocked that such an item was raffled off at a kids' event, and ended up keep it for himself. (NY Daily News)
