Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ marriage is officially over.

The “Malibu” singer’s lawyer will reportedly file documents on Tuesday (December 31) to declare Cyrus’ divorce with the Australian actor is settled, according to TMZ sources. Despite the mutual “bitterness” that caused the pair to dissolve their marriage, the celebrity gossip outlet said there was no fuss with the stars, who supposedly signed a prenup, dividing their property. As previously reported, Cyrus will also keep all 15 of the couple’s pets per the settlement.

Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Hemsworth filed for the divorce in August. This was shortly after outlets revealed the couple’s mutual decision to separate after only eight months of marriage, having celebrated their union in a low-key wedding ceremony in Nashville on December 23, 2018. The separation news came in light of photos of Cyrus kissing Brody Jenner’s ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter, surfaced online.

According to the celebrity gossip outlet, the divorce won’t be finalized until six months after filing, meaning Hemsworth and Cyrus should be officially single in March 2020. However, since going their separate ways, the “Mother's Daughter” star and Hunger Games actor have moved on with different love interests.

After a short-lived romance with Carter, Cyrus rebounded with Australian crooner Cody Simpson, whom she’s been casually dating since October despite recent breakup rumors. Hemsworth, who has not officially confirmed his relationships publicly, has been romantically linked to actress Maddison Brown and Sydney model Gabriella Brooks.
