Rihanna Shoots Down Rumors About The Title Of Her New Album

Rihanna may not be willing to reveal the name of her album, but she will tell you what it isn't.

During the launch of her upcoming visual autobiography — titled Rihanna — in New York City on Friday (October 11), Rih Rih set the record straight on rumors about the title of her album.

Fans recently noticed that that 31-year-old singer turned business mogul registered a new song called "Private Loving" to the music-rights organization BMI," and began to speculate that it could also be the title of her upcoming album.

"That's not true," Rihanna clarified to Entertainment Tonight. "That's not gonna be the title of any album." Rih went on to say that all details about the album are "pending."

"I can give you a dot, a dot and a dot," she said with a smile.

Earlier this week, Vogue released its November cover story, which features an in-depth interview with the Barbadian beauty, who spoke about everything from her music to her multiple businesses to her blossoming love life.

"I have been trying to get back into the studio. It’s not like I can lock myself in for an extended amount of time, like I had the luxury of doing before," she admitted, referring to her thriving businesses that keep her extremely busy. "I know I have some very unhappy fans who don’t understand the inside bits of how it works."

Rih did, however, double-down on her previous statements about her ninth album being a "reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album."

"It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae," she explained. "But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks [...] Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves. It’s always the same high. Even though I’ve explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven’t really homed in on completely for a body of work."

And when it comes to her private life, Rihanna confessed that she's very much so in a committed relationship. "Yeah, I’m dating. I’m actually in an exclusive relationship for quite some time, and it’s going really well, so I’m happy," she told Vogue.
