Robert Pattinson has broken his silence on becoming the new Batman.

In an interview with Variety, Pattinson said fan reaction to the casting wasn't as bad as some think.

He said, "To be honest, it was less vitriolic than I was expecting. It’s much more fun when you’re an underdog. There’s no expectation of you.”

Pattinson also said the leak of the news about him being the new Batman happened before he even auditioned for the role. He said, "When that thing leaked, I was f--king furious. Everyone was so upset. Everyone was panicking from my team. I sort of thought that had blown up the whole thing."
