Calvin Harris Isn’t The Highest Paid DJ Anymore, But He’s Still The Richest
Calvin Harris has long been one of the highest-paid EDM DJs around, until now.
Forbes recently released their list of the 100 top earners in entertainment and beating out Harris in 2019 was The Chainsmokers and Marshmello, respectively.
So far The Chainsmokers have made $46 million and Marshmello comes in at $40 million so far this year. Calvin Harris comes in with a cool $38.5 million.
Harris is still the richest, banking $240 million. The Chainsmokers come in second making a combined $44 million and Marshmello at $40 million.
Beyonce Was Photoshopped Into The Lion King Cast Photo
Comedian John Oliver is a part of the Beyhive and when fans found out the Oliver was cast in The Lion King, they were curious to see if Oliver’s dream to meet Queen B would come true.
When The Lion King cast picture was revealed, however, there was a strange amount of distance between Oliver and Beyonce.
During an interview with Stephan Colbert, Oliver was asked about the distance between him and Beyonce and if she was *gasp* photoshopped in.
“Yeah, she wasn’t there,” Oliver revealed, “If you look at my face I look really intimidated...and that’s because I’m imagining I’m about to be put into a photo with Beyonce.”
Storm Area 51 Event Creator Thinks An EDM Festival Is A Better Idea
In the business world, this is what's known as a pivot. The guy behind the viral Storm Area 51 event has cooked up a much less illegal idea.
Matty Roberts originally joked that he wanted to "see them aliens" at the secret military facility, but with 1.9 million people marking themselves as "attending," the college student has realized he's tapped into something bigger.
Speaking to a local news station, Roberts says he's already setting the groundwork to instead host a music festival in the Nevada desert.
"I want to have a bunch of different musical artists, everybody from the EDM world and then maybe some indie rock, maybe some smaller guys that are up and coming," he tells KERO-TV.

After two years of dating Riverdale stars, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have called it quits.
According to a source, the two broke things off earlier this summer and have been keeping their distance.
The news of their split comes as a shock to fans who seemed to be all good at Comic-Con over the weekend.
Scarlett Johansson Shows Off Huge Engagement Ring
Scarlett Johannson debuted a couple of things at Comic-Con last weekend.
Not only was the news confirmed about her upcoming Black Widow solo film, but Johannson also showed off her giant engagement ring.
The rock was given to her by SNL Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost. The two were engaged back in April.
The diamond appeared to be egg-shaped with a yellow tint. This will be Johansson's third marriage.
Tarantino and Thurman Have Discussed “Kill Bill 3”
A third chapter in the "Kill Bill" saga could happen after director Quentin Tarantino confirmed that he and Uma Thurman have discussed the chances of another movie.
"We were talking about it literally last week," Tarantino said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. "If any of my movies were going to spring from my other movies, it would be a third Kill Bill."
Quentin has already talked about the premise of a third movie and says the film would focus on the adult daughter of Vernita Green who was killed by Uma's character.
