Cardi’s “Okurrr” Trademark Attempt Denied

Well, according to reports, government officials aren't okay with Cardi B trying to trademark her catchphrase "Okurrr."

Cardi had planned to use the phrase on items like merchandise and even a clothing line.

Cardi made the request to trademark the phrase back in March and the phrase was even used in Pepsi ads, but officials said no because the phrase was a "widely used commonplace expression."

According to People Magazine, the term was first used by a contestant on "RuPaul's Drag Race."

“Toy Story 4” Stays Number One at the Box Office

For the second week in a row, "Toy Story 4" sits atop the box office by making $58 million over the weekend.

The horror flick "Annabelle Comes Home" came in second place with $20 million in its debut weekend, and the ode to the Beatles called "Yesterday" debuted at number three.

The re-release of "Avengers: End Game" made its way back into the Top 10 at number seven, but still is shy of overtaking "Avatar."

Pharrell Offers 114 Internships to High School Grads

Super producer Pharrell Williams gave the surprise of a lifetime to the 114 graduates of Harlem Children's Zone Promise Academy by promising all of the students an internship opportunity.

During his keynote address, Pharrell told the students, "So let me be clear, every member of the 2019 graduating class, is guaranteed an internship, waiting for them, you, next summer."

It wasn't mentioned where the internships would be, but according to Williams, "the world is watching Harlem, but the Renaissance will be different."

Lil Nas X Comes Out As Gay

Lil Nas X has come out as gay on the final day of Pride month.

When he posted the video for his song "C7osure" he wanted fans to really listen to the lyrics and said, "some of yall don't care, some of y'all not gone fwm no more, but before this month ends I want y'all to listen closely to "C7osure." After the post, he added a rainbow emoji.

After that tweet came another that featured his album artwork, which zoomed in on a rainbow image that's included in the album artwork. Nas X said about the image, "Deadass thought I made it obvious."

Robocop Returning With Classic Silver Suit

Director Neil Blomkamp gave an update on his Robocop Returns film and wants to let you know that he will be wearing the classic silver suit from the original 1987 movie.

Blomkamp, who also directed District 9, said that he wants to keep his remake true to the original.

This film will be a continuation of the film from the 80s as the original script will serve as the basis for Robocop Returns.

There's no release date for the film just yet.

“Bill and Ted 3” Production Has Started

Today is the day that Bill and Ted Face the Music will begin shooting this morning and guess what, Keanu Reeves has shaved his beard to get back into the role.

Production begins today and the first shot for the film will happen at 9 a.m. and the cast for the film has taken shape with the additions of Anthony Carrigan, Kid Cudi, William Sadler, and Samara Weaving.

The third movie has been in development for years and now the time has come for another most excellent adventure that will be released next summer.
