Here's a term we hear quite often nowadays: self-care.
It's a real thing that we need to be focusing on in our daily lives, not sweeping under the rug! To practice self-care is to tell yourself that you ARE worth taking care of. This is the chance to give yourself the positive affirmation you seek!
I am loving one of Buzzfeed's latest videos about self-care. Personally, I feel that we avoid implementing these practices into our lives because we're worried it'll make us more stressed out or busier... when in fact, it does the opposite!
