Robert Pattinson Down for a ‘Twilight’ Reunion
Can you believe it's been almost 10 years since Robert Pattinson played a vampire in 'Twilight?' If you want him to play the role again he's ready. During an interview with Variety, Pattinson said he'd be willing to play Edward Cullen again and even made a joke about how he still looks the part. "The amount of time I've spent moisturizing, I'm ready to play 17 at a moment's notice." Pattinson joked. Pattinson is currently promoting his new film, 'High Life,' and as far as a Twilight reunion is concerned, it's not.
Apple Wins First Prime-Time Emmy Award
Apple has landed its first Primetime Emmy Award for 'Carpool Karaoke' which was named Outstanding Short Form Variety Series at the Creative Arts Emmys. This was Apple's first honor for original content, but the company has also won awards as early as 2011 and recent as 2017. "To try and do a Carpool Karaoke without James Corden was a tricky thing," says executive producer Ben Winston. Apple's version of Carpool Karaoke is different from what you see on TV. The Apple version features different celebrities in the driver's seat instead of Corden.
'Kamikaze' Gives Eminem His Ninth No. 1 Album
Eminem has just scored his ninth number one album as 'Kamikaze' debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 charts. The surprise album sold 434,000 copies in it's first week, and half of those were traditional album sales! This debut is far better than Em's last album 'Revival' which went number one, but only sold 267,000 copies. The 434,000 copies sold makes 'Kamikaze' the fourth-largest week for an album in 2018, and this gives Em his second number one album for the year.
Ariana Grande Posts Touching Mac Miller Photo
Ariana Grande has posted a touching photo of her one time boyfriend Mac Miller after his sudden death over the weekend. Shortly after learning about Miller's death, Grande posted a simple, black and white picture of Miller without a caption. Comments on her IG were closed after fans starting blaming her for his overdose. The two became a couple back in 2012, and ended their relationship in May.
Brad Pitt Sued Over Helping New Orleans
Two residents who received homes from Brad Pitt's Make it Right Foundation are suing the foundation. Why? Because they say the homes are falling apart. NBC News reports that residents are complaining of mold, rotting plywood, plumbing and electrical problems, and other issues. Pitt's Make It Right Foundation built 110 homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina for residents of the Ninth Ward. In 2014, Pitt's foundation had to replace rotting lumber on about 30 homes. "We have filed to make Make It Right, to make it right," says attorney Ron Austin.
Nia Franklin Wins Miss America Pageant
Congratulations are in order for Miss New York, Nia Franklin, for winning the Miss America Pageant this year in Atlantic City. Franklin, a classical vocalist, won a $50,000 scholarship and the crown in the first pageant without the famous swimsuit competition. Which Franklin said allowed her to "eat a little more." Nia's pageant platform is to be an "advocate for the arts," and she hopes to someday have a career in the film industry composing music for movies. Rounding out the field at third runner up was Miss Florida Taylor Tyson, second runner up was Miss Louisiana Holli' Conway, and first runner up was Miss Connecticut Bridget Oei.
