Well, the time has come! It's time for me to take the Atlas Orthogonal procedure for a test drive.
In my first week seeing Dr. Young at Pairmore & Young Synergy Chiropractic, I realized that a lot of my spine issues were stemming from my pelvis being tilted and affecting the alignment of the rest of my spine. While this explained many of my pain and symptoms, I still was having a little trouble with my neck.
Here comes the super cool part! Dr. Young decided it was time to get my Atlas adjusted by using the Atlas Orthogonal treatment. What is the Atlas, you ask? Well, the simple version is that it's the top cervical bone in the neck. It's very small, only weighing a couple ounces where the head can range between 9 to 17 pounds. The Atlas gets it's name from Greek mythology and the story of ATLAS, who carries the world on his shoulders. Pretty cool!
You can see more detail about the Atlas Orthogonal treatment HERE.
In this video, you'll see that I have limited range of motion before the adjustment. Afterwards, it's like I was an owl! I was able to turn my head with no blockage of motion. Even to this day, my neck has been pain free and I have FULL range of motion! I am amazed.
