'The Four' Season 2 Episode 3: All Four Chairs Defended!

The Four Panel: Meghan Trainor, Diddy, DJ Khaled

We're three episodes into The Four: Battle For Stardom, and the competition is HOT. Last week, we saw a shift in The Four as newcomers Whitney Reign and Jesse Kramer took seats from Latin queen Stephanie Zelaya and Majeste Pearson, respectively. The final Four we were left with was Jesse Kramer, James Graham, Whitney Reign and Sheraya J.

This week, the show kicked off with Jesse, James, Whitney, and Sheraya performing Imagine Dragons' hit song "Believer."

Then, it was time for the first challenger of the night, 22-year-old R&B singer Ebon Lurks from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who revealed how he tragically lost both of his parents at only two years old. Ebon then sang Ed Sheeran's "Photograph." After wards, Meghan told him, "That made me wanna cry. I heard you sing it for your parents, and your family, and it was really emotional, and I'm glad you picked that song, it was a great song choice. And I felt like you were just very comfortable, which you don't always see on this stage." However Diddy told him, he felt like Ebon was holding back a little bit, but he gave him a "feeling." And with three yes's from the judges, Ebon became the first official challenge of the night, and he chose to go for Jesse's seat.

Jesse was up first, and he performed Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful," followed by Ebon with Bazzi's "Mine." Diddy told Ebon that he thought he stepped it up, and to Jesse that he took a "totally fresh approach" to his song choice. Khaled thought Ebon pushed a little harder this time, and that Jesse also had a great performance. But, it was up to the audience, and they chose Jesse. So the rocker kept his seat on The Four, sending Ebon home.

Next up, was Elijah Connor from Detroit, Michigan, who revealed that Prince was is cousin and Aretha Franklin is a friend of the family. Elijah sang Musiq Soulchild's "Love," and afterwards, Khaled wondered if he could beat anyone on The Four, and Meghan agreed. Meanwhile, Diddy told Elijah that he "straight up, I didn't like it all," adding, "You came out too swagged out to not blow me away." And with three no's, Elijah was sent home ... after an intense stare-off with Diddy.

Matt Bloyd, 25, from Modesto, California was up next who sang Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know." Meghan told Matt she loved his rendition of Whitney's classic, and Diddy thought it was an excellent performance, despite a few notes about his falsetto. Khaled proclaimed that he wanted to see a challenge, and with three yes's, Matt became the second challenge of the night. He went after Whitney's seat.

Whitney went first, singing Aretha Franklin's "You Make Me Feel Like A Woman," followed by Matt with Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey." Afterwards, Meghan explained that she loved both performances, and that Whitney's song choice really worked in her favor. Khaled echoed, "Whitney came and secured the bag," even though Matt's performance was great. In the end, the audience voted for Whitney, securing her seat on The Four and sending Matt home.

The next challenger to approach the stage was Brianna Burns, who goes by stage name Lil Bri, a 17-year-old rapper from Houston, Texas. Lil Bri put her spin on The Game's "Hate It Or Love It," and afterwards, Meghan told her she was a "massive fan" and that she's a "young legend." Diddy said that she loved her stage presence, and Khaled was ready to see a challenge. And with three yes's from the panel, Lil Bri chose to take on Sheraya for her seat.

First up, was Sheraya, who gave the crowd her own version of Migos' "Stir Fry," followed with Bri with Lil Kim's "Crush On You." Meghan told the girls that she like Bri's song choice better than Sharaya's, but she liked Sheraya's lyrics better. And both Diddy and Khaled liked both of their performances, but it was up to the audience, and they declared Sharaya the winner of this female rap battle. Even with her voice strained, she secured the bag, as Khaled would put it.

Sheraya J performs on 'The Four'

Next up, was 16-year-old Christian Gonzalez from Miami, Florida who sang Enrique Iglesias's "Bailando." Meghan was a fan. She told Christian she loved his dance moves and his voice, and was impressed by his talent at only 16. Diddy told him, "You came to eat," and Khaled said that he repped Miami, but questioned if he could beat James in a challenge. And with three yes's from the judges, Christian went on to challenge James for his chair.

Up first was James, who performed Stevie Wonder's "Lately," followed by Christian with a Latin version of Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home." Afterwards, Diddy told Christian that he didn't think that he gave it his all, as he did on his first song, and Meghan told them that she loved both performances, as did Khaled. But as Khaled said, it was up to the audience, and they chose James.

And with that, all four chairs were locked for the night, and all four chairs were defended (for the first time)! Here are your final Four of the who will take their talents to next week's episode: Jesse Kramer, James Graham, Whitney Reign and Sheraya J.

As Diddy said, "I know that next week, the competition's gonna be crazier." And the stakes are extremely high. Not only will the winner's career launch with the help of the judges, they will also become iHeartRadio's "On the Verge" artist; an artist development program supporting the winner with airplay across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide. This program has helped launched the careers of artists like Sam Smith, Fifth Harmony and Nick Jonas, among others.
