***SPOILERS ALERT***
This Is Us fans are looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday. That's when the show will finally reveal how Jack died.
After yet another tear-jerking episode, the show teased the next one which will air immediately following Super Bowl 52.
It has been speculated since the Season 1 finale that Milo Ventimiglia's character, Jack, dies in a fire. However this Tuesday night's episode is making us think of a new theory for the character. In tonights episode there seems to be a weird focus on Kate‘s dog. We notice the dog following Kate around the house, and Jack’s character commenting on the dog in a flashback.
Flash forward to Chrissy Metz picking out a dog from a shelter to bring home for Toby, and she can’t seem to bring herself to it. She gets emotional in the scene and it looks like she can’t possibly bring this dog home with her!
Well, what if the fire at the Pearson's house does in fact happen, but Jack dies to run in and save Kate's dog from the fire. This would make sense that Kate would think her father's death was her fault. It would also explain her getting emotional when picking out a dog at the shelter!
My thoughts:
- All of the clues are coming together. We knew there was a fire. We knew Kate somehow felt responsible for Jack dying. Last night we got some clues that perhaps Kate's childhood dog had a role in his death.
- Super Bowl Sunday is going to see a huge emotional swing. Imagine going from cheering to crying.
DAMN YOU, THIS IS US!!!
