Start of Week 4 -

Now, I know a lot of you have had some lingering injuries, surgeries, been in car accidents, or maybe just had a baby. Getting back into a gym may seem scary or you don't know what you need to do to better your well being. You walk into a regular big box gym and the free weights are clunking, the treadmills are full, and you are just another number in the system. Trust me, I know how you feel.

Personally, when I got onto a treadmill it hurt my knees from the impact. I was confused and not motivated to hit the weights. I would be in a class for the first time among people who have taken the class for months. And I would just end up hurting myself in the long run because I never learned the proper way to do things.

At Core Pilates, they know my name as soon as I walk through the door. I take different classes throughout the week and the class sizes are small and limited. The instructors help me if my posture is wrong and give me even more motivation when doing things right. You work at your own pace and don't feel like it's a competition with the others in the class.

The different classes give me a variety of workouts throughout the day and week. Throw all the ideas you "think" you know about Pilates out the window. Come see for yourself at their FREE introduction class every Saturday morning. Call ahead to schedule and bring a workout buddy.
