Officer Helps, Then Serenades Elderly Blind Woman

Police officers work to protect and serve the community, so when Logan, Utah, officer Kristian Johnson helped an elderly woman program her microwave, he said he was just doing his job. But he went even further above and beyond the call of duty.

Police received a call from an elderly blind woman who was home alone and said she needed help with her microwave because she was afraid of starting a fire. So Officer Johnson responded to her house to make sure she was all right.

While he was there, he took a look at her microwave, which was flashing an error message, and fixed it to make sure it was operating properly. He then took the time to explain the microwave's functions to her and made sure she knew how to use it.

After everything was taken care of, Officer Johnson was about to leave and asked if she needed anything else? That's when she asked him if he could sing her a song. Johnson said, "I can't say no to this lady," so he serenaded her with a rendition of "You Are My Sunshine." The incredibly sweet moment was captured on the officer's body camera and is going viral.
