Another step in this whole wedding process has been completed! We found a wedding planner!!!
With our wedding taking place in August of 2019, I didn't know if starting now was "too early". Very quickly I found out that there is no such thing as "too early" when it comes to planning a wedding...
That being said, I am NOT planning my own wedding. Nope, no sir, no way! I have seen friends struggle through planning their own and do NOT want to subject myself to that kind of stress. So, it became clear to us that we needed to find a wedding planner!
I asked around to friends and family that had had their weddings planned for them and learned the same thing: you'll pay a pretty penny for a planner. Our budget is modest enough that I was leery about hiring a planner from a planning company without knowing exactly what they took off the top. After a few calls and no response, I had pretty much resigned myself to planning it myself.
THEN, a friend/coworker and I were talking about what I wanted for the wedding and it turns out that she was a lead event planner for years before she went into sales! What a crazy, amazing twist of fate! After discussing her credentials with Max and my parents, it was a no-brainer that she would be our wedding planner!
I'm definitely one for flare and decided to get her a little gift to go with my asking her officially to plan our wedding. Check it out below!
